How can a companion/coach help me?
I offer group opportunities to share your experience and a safe space to be seen, heard and validated. The assignments are tailored to your experience and are used to assist you in the areas where you struggle. This journey is long and challenging but with me as your companion, you will invigorate your life and live fully while processing the extraordinary change you have experienced.
What happens during a grief coaching session?
Each grief coaching session may be different depending on the goals and needs of the person. At first, we will discuss what you want to accomplish through working together and lay out a plan on how to achieve your goals. Occasionally, I’ll also give you assignments to help direct your progress. We will work together to discover what obstacles are in your way and figure out how to overcome them. With each session, we’ll revisit your goals and see what steps are needed to achieve them.
This is not a substitute for therapy
Grief coaching is different than therapy in that its focus is not on overcoming your psychological issues. Grief coaching aims to help you identify and process your grief. With life coaching, very little emphasis is placed on the past. Instead, our focus is on creating the life that you want now and in the future.
Will our conversations remain confidential?
